🚀 Enhance Engine Performance with Motorcraft FG800A / FG1060 Fuel Filter Review

Replacement for the stock OEM fuel filter on my '97 Mustang GT. It came with plastic clips and was a pretty easy change. This is a simple maintenance task that can prevent starting problems or curbside parking.

I ordered this FG800A from OEM Select Parts and received the FG1060 instead. Ok they must be the same parts, FG1060 replaces the old part. But why pay so much for this bogus listing when you can get a much better price by looking for the FG1060 here at Revain? The part may be good and I'll leave it, but I don't like being fooled and overpaying.

Just what I needed for my 2002 Ford Escape. The installation process couldn't be easier, the hardest part was getting the old one out, but that might be because my old one was starting to rust. an average of 0.3 mpg more. Overall I highly recommend this product for the price, quality and ease of installation.

Okay "like" probably a lot, but the filter is easy to install on the Taurus 97 and works well. The included clips were identical to the previous ones and a great fit - I mention this because several YouTube videos show people looping clips that are too thick, or trimming clips that are too long, etc. I haven't compared the filters much, but this one has those same shape as the rusty filter I replaced, which by the way was installed upside down. Our '96 Mustang Vert got off to a slow start. You had to turn the key to the ON position and wait 2-3 seconds before engaging the starter to get the engine to start. Once this filter is installed, fuel is delivered instantly and we can turn the key straight to the START position and boom! The filter was easy to install and was put to use immediately. The plastic clips holding the fuel lines in place worked great. With some non-Motorcraft filters, the clips don't match and people get in trouble.

Very easy to replace and ideal for OEM filters. Installed on a 2006 Mercury Mariner Hybrid at 100,000. The car showed no signs of needing a fuel filter change, but it was replaced on Ford's schedule. Out of curiosity, I cut open the old one to see how bad it was inside. The metal appears to be stainless steel - very well made and the filter inside was fully intact. It has a metal core in a paper filter. Cloudy, dark water and gas came out of the old filter, but the paper element wasn't as dirty

While shopping for fuel filters I noticed that many of the "famous brands" are now made in India, Mexico and/or China (mainly China) and I have been relying on the FRAM Filter leaves were also produced in China. Too many Americans are unemployed these days so I went with genuine Motorcraft parts in the hopes they would at least be made in the USA. BINGO, we have a winner!
