I installed a radiator expansion tank on my Ford 71 truck and the coolant flowed normally but never circulated back to the radiator. This Motorcraft cap is NOT a genuine 13lb radiator cap as advertised! Rather than being a 13lb cap, this is a 16lb cap, simply stamped as a 13lb cap. I spent over a month trying to find a "real 13 pound cap". We have 5 different auto parts stores in our town, I have tested every brand with 13lb and 16lb marks and they test ALL the same and the release pressure is ALL just under 17lbs and they say 13lbs or 16lbs .
