Buy a motorcycle from Ignition Parts

Most long-time Ranger owners would agree. Use original spark plugs for the 3.0 engine. I have no idle or knock that would affect non-motorcycle ignition parts. Also order new cables for motorcycles. Then you're ready for another 90,000

Pros
  • Complete Kit
Cons
  • Out of Fashion

Fits and works as intended

Packaging was the same as your local Ford parts department. The prices were NOT the same as the local Ford parts department. All 8 changed and now the truck is humming. Well, not bad because the trucks don't honk, but they drive smooth now. :)

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Available in white only

The 2007 Ford Taurus Vulcan engine worked great. No more misfires!

Be sure to check the spaces in it. Mine were supposed to be a little smaller because they were too big. BE CAREFUL when opening these coated earplugs, they can be damaged very easily. Watch the YouTube video if you are unsure about gaping plated plugs.

Pros
  • One year trial period
Cons
  • Everything is fine

Motorcraft is always my first choice

Bought for Ford Ranger 3.0. Runs like a champ with new plugs and cables. I bought the car used and it was in very poor condition. 184k for original spark plugs and cables! After a bit of maintenance, it's now day and night. The forks came close to the right gap as shipped, all I did was measure and tune a few to spec.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Think of the gap. in spare parts

Good candles at an affordable price. I would not use any other brand for my Ford vehicles. I picked up an old truck that wasn't working well, put in six new spark plugs and it runs a lot better. My only complaint is that they check the gap before installing it. This should be standard on every fork, regardless of manufacturer, but my forks had gaps everywhere. Each had to be customized. Never assume that a fork has correct clearance, regardless of what the manufacturer claims.

Random Gaps - Replacement Parts

I usually have good luck with OEM Ford units. I was expecting to get plugs that were already open for my car, but unfortunately that didn't happen. I received candles with absolutely random gaps, and one came with a gap of 0. That's right, the electrode touched the ground. To me that is totally unacceptable by Ford standards. After adjusting them to the correct spacing they fit my Crown Vic with no problems and I've had 10,000 trouble free miles. I will update if they ever need to be replacedโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great Design
Cons
  • Crumpled Packaging

Major Spark Plug Replacement

I had a misfire with the #5 spark plug on my 1997 4.6 liter Ford F-150. Having had about 80,000 miles on this set of spark plugs I decided to use them all together to replace the spark plug wires. I found a few videos on U-Tube detailing what I need to remove to pull out all the connectors. It was pretty easy on the driver's side, but not on the passenger's side since the fork was pointing towards the firewall. Lubricate the threads of the plugs with anti-seize lubricant (in case you need toโ€ฆ
