Replaces OEM with 03 KLR

Bolt on directly, works with braided steel shaft. Easy installation. I would like the reservoir to be slightly larger than the flow line or smaller with just a sight hole, but it works.

Pros
  • Motorcycle & Powersports
Cons
  • Very Expensive

Excellent fit and finish

I recommend this to anyone looking to repair or upgrade their bike. Just pay attention to the angle of the banjo bolt. I couldn't install it because of the brake line I had so I couldn't get a hold of it.

Cons
  • No automatic

Good setup, better brake

Works great! I was honestly surprised. I like that the tank is a bit smaller compared to my old one. But it moves a lot of liquid. Along with the new brake line, my brakes are better than they have been since I've owned this bike. Rely on the XV750 Virago '81.

Pros
  • Levers
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Suitable for KLR250! - Parts

There was another review that mentioned the KLR250 and I'm glad it happened. When I first own this bike I have really good brake pressure. It took a few minutes to bleed but I'm finally able to stop. I like the clear tank, that shouldn't be a problem, a lot of big adventure bikes have plastic tanks. The banjo bolt also fits the standard line. The brake light switch works the same way. The lever is the same length. Would buy again.

Pros
  • Brake

  • No

Life saving update for my Icebear 125 champion I brought a steel cable with me in hopes it would solve the brake inconsistency problem. Find out that the stock brake master cylinder is junk right away on most Ice/Chinese bikes. Highly recommended to use this along with steel slings if you are having trouble with your scooter braking. You never know when that car will stop in front of you. Also, I can now stop with two fingers ;)

Ideal for scooters or small motorcycles

I have a 1987 Kawasaki KLR250 that I recently purchased. It was pretty much a basket case and among the many problems was the master cylinder weeping. I could have restored the original but it had a broken handle and for the price of a restoration kit and handle I could have gotten a brand new one. I have no idea what the bore size of this MC is, but it fits my single piston front caliper perfectly on my KLR. If you have a multi-piston or multi-caliper (or both), the piston size may be tooโ€ฆ
