Sturdy, heavy-duty metal construction. For people with low ratings because he drowned in their paved driveway, the problem isn't with that driveway, it's your driveway. It easily handles my 900-pound touring bike on tarmac, gravel and dirt. Exactly what I wanted instead of the little nylon type.

This is not a representative HARLEY product. The original part is heavier and not as fragile. I haven't had any problems so far, but I've used it on hard ground. I'm not as confident with this soft bottomed product as I am with the OEM part.

Made of metal, which surprised me a bit. Seems very strong. I could see it resting if you put it in the snow and I could scrape off the paint. A little on the small side. I like a big bullseye for my footrest. I think it's the only way, but the price is right.

I don't know why Harley is in the name, it's a generic but strong and functional kickstand. Saved my ass a couple of times on a cross country trip. I just tied an orange paracord to it and threw it down. I then wrapped the cable around the handlebars so I could reach it when I was ready to go. Light.

I just leave it in the same spot in the grass where I parked it. It's just right to cling to the train and not fall into the ground. Holds up well, maybe the coating or paint has peeled off, but whatever. This solves the problem and you forget about it. You can use a different one, but then again, the flattened water bottle I used works great too.
