    Heavy Duty Lock Pin

    This lock comes with two 1/2" and 5/8" pins so it will fit almost anything. For example, rubber O-rings that take up extra space on the pen. Hard wearing and good power coat finish. The only thing is is a cheap cap that covers the locking part of the pen. The plastic is cheap and very loose. I suspect it will fall off after a few bumps in the road exposing the locking mechanism to mud and water. I taped my cap to the locking mechanism and now the cap is secure.

    Good for the price.

    I'm a little disappointed that the fuser head wobbles a bit. I've read horror stories about locks bouncing and causing the ball stem to detach from the hitch. They do have a backup pin, albeit slightly as a backup, so hopefully that's not an issue. My old curved post is very narrow but this one goes straight in. With my calipers they are 1/64" smaller than the 5/8" or 39/64" diameters. actually more for protection from cell phone drivers and the occasional light trailer towing.

    Would be a good product if -

    This product would be worth buying if the contact sizes were as advertised or a few thousand larger. 5/8 inch is slightly smaller than 5/8, even with paint, and once it wears out, which isn't long, the pen size approaches 39/64, which is well under 5./8 and smaller than any standard pen, for you can get the result I was that the gap between it and the receiver for several hundred miles made the tip slide back and forth and up and down so far that the pinholes on my receiver were gouged out…
