Great watch, except for the best smartwatches

Great watch, except. The strap will break and it will be impossible to replace it except to buy a new watch. I had this watch for almost 6 months (2 days wasn't enough) and the bracelet cuff broke (very small piece of rubber holding the end of the bracelet). I contacted Motorola and they said they couldn't help unless I wanted to replace the entire watch. Cost: $100. They said I could find something through a third party, but they didn't help me find it and so far I haven't been able to find it

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Useless features

look at me now suitable for smart watch

I waited 4 months to review this watch so I can confirm its durability. I'm happy to report that I haven't had any problems so far. I was a little worried about the band as it cannot be replaced but I wear it all day every day and it currently shows no signs of wear. In terms of functionality, it's great for what I wanted. I track indoor runs with it and as far as distance goes it's very accurate compared to what the treadmill says. The heart rate monitor is also in line with what I get from…

Don't expect it to last more than a few months

I bought this product about 4 months ago and use it regularly (4-5 days) a week. After 4 months of use my tape was damaged and I spoke to Motorola/Lenovo support to see if they had a replacement or repair. It turns out that according to them, no matter how long the purchase takes, there are no guarantees whatsoever. In short the quality of the strap is clearly cheap and for the price I paid for this watch it was a poor choice. I'd better pay a little more to get "fitbit", "apple" or "samsung"…

Battery life is good. I usually ride on non-running days.

I mainly use it for running and it works fine for GPS tracking. Bluetooth is weak. I had to buy a cheap Bluetooth receiver and strap it to my left hip (I wear the watch on my left hand). The bluetooth receiver on my headphones was on my right ear hole and I kept losing connection between them. Battery life is good. On non-running days, I typically drain the battery to about 60% after not charging the charger for about 10 hours. I have the following settings: Screen off (on), Rotate wrist to…

So far, so good. A year later

Bought this watch and it stopped working. So I sent it back as it was under warranty and Motorola replaced it. So far, so good. A year later it started raining while cycling. I told my wife that the watch is waterproof. When I got home I noticed that it stopped working. I checked the Amazon website where it was advertised and it claims to be water resistant to 3 feet. So I called the company back. I couldn't find the serial number on the back until I held it up to the iPhone flashlight. At…

Buy a Samsung Gear S3 (or better AW watch)

Hardware this watch is acceptable. Build quality is good, although I would question the durability of the silicone strap as it doesn't look like it will stand up to heavy use or (long-term) intense activity, and the strap isn't interchangeable. It's unacceptable that this watch hasn't received Android Wear 2.0 yet, and while Google bears most of the blame for the messy launch of AW 2.0, Motorola/Lenovo is foot-dragging the update, so chances are it'll get updates after that , are very high AW…
