Reduces airflow

Although the air filter itself is great, it reduces airflow into the passenger compartment. This is the reason for the 3 star rating!

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • Compatibility

Quality filter

This product is of good quality. The only difference from the original is the Tesla stamp on the side. Thank you for sending me the filter cover screw removal tool it made my life easier. I definitely recommend these filters. 2019 model 3.

Pros
  • Solid surface
Cons
  • No power

Perfect filters suitable for air filters and accessories

Fits without problems as they are too big like the ones I bought on Amazon which were more expensive and too big and it took me 2 hours to to get them because they wouldn't quite fit. Beware of Revain's heavy black-faced activated carbon filters, and there are plenty of them. . . that does not fit! You will go through hell!

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • I will add later

The filter does not fit. Hits Air Intake

I don't often write reviews; However, in this case, I think it is important for people to be aware of the low quality of this product. Simply put, the filter isn't strong, doesn't stick, and gets sucked into the intake when the air conditioner turns on. Suggest looking for other options.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Good but not great

Will not be taken back

Benefits: It acts as a pre-filter so you don't have to clean the area leading to the cabin filter as often. Cons: Reduces airflow and increases noise. The problem is that they don't offer enough folds. This is visible in the picture. More pleats are needed to increase surface area and reduce air restriction. For me it's not worth it.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Too long to wait

Can be used backwards

Easy to use the filter backwards. There is no airflow direction mark on the filter, so it can be inserted backwards. This is a great filter and a nice improvement on a great car that should have had a filter from the start. But the filter should show you how to install it, either with a stamped arrow showing airflow or with instructions on how to install it. Otherwise it's a good filter.

Pros
  • A sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • Nervous

Makes the air conditioning fan work harder to compensate for the filter.

Model 3/Y has a total of 3 filters, of which only 2 are installed at the factory: cabin filters. These types of filters don't come from the factory, and I think I can imagine why Tesla doesn't include them. This aftermarket product is good in theory, but it makes the air conditioning fan work even harder than the filter needs to compensate. This makes my car much louder and shortens the life of the air conditioner. Instead, it is better to get HEPA cabin filters.

Pros
  • The best in its niche
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Not most impressed with Filters

Installed in my 2018 m3. My model year M3 does not come with a pre-filter from the factory, but I decided to give it a try. Never had a problem with the cabin filter. The design is bad. One side is flat and the other is shaped like a standard filter. When installed, the flat part of the filter faces outwards. The low-profile design itself reduces surface area, restricts intake airflow, and likely makes the fan more difficult to operate. Didn't see it in the photos before I bought it. I see noโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • Angry
