Small but big upgrade

I've replaced the mount that came with my microphone boom and it's a small device but it makes a big difference. The original was too bent (it was stamped and spot welded steel), it didn't have a screw to lock it in position - the boom arm to the point where it practically flopped with some $$ hardware I couldn't risk it. It fits snugly, it's strong, it's easier to tighten, and it stays on my desk.

Pros
  • I'm looking forward to it
Cons
  • I have doubts

Works with Rode PSA1

My son bought this for his home studio. It uses the Rode PSA1 scissor arm and this clip holds the base perfectly without taking up as much space as the bracket that comes with the Rode assembly. Both installation and adjustment are easy, and the metal clamp design provides a secure fit to the base of the scissor arm as well as the finished rosewood table to which it attaches. He looked at many online stores before deciding on this one and the price couldn't be better.

Great value for money

This little clip should work for anyone with magnifying glasses or clip-on flashlights. The holding power is amazing and it doesn't damage the surface. I have to move the light around a lot so not having to make some indentations on the table is great. Since I have to move the magnifying light combo several times, I found the standard handle they have a bit small. However, those who want to use it as a semi-permanent light will find it just perfect. For the money I would use it and ditch the…

Sturdy Swivel Mic Stand Clamp

I purchased the Moukey Clamp to replace a desktop swivel mic stand/clamp mount. The clamp that originally came with the rotating mic stand was flimsy, flimsy, and made of cold-rolled sheet metal. The original clamp was expanded and bent until it could hold a mic stand on a table. Moukey is made from very strong die-cast aluminum (probably A380 or A383 alloy). It does not bend or deform but is firmly fixed to the table providing a very strong mount/platform for the swivel mic. The clamp was 2/3…

Great replacement base for the original plastic

The original base for my magnifying lamp (seen in the background) was plastic, hollow in places and after years of use began to crack under 45 degree base angle stress. The lamp/magnifier is still in great condition and meets my needs which has prevented me from buying a new lamp and trying to replace the base. I found this item strong, sturdy and well suited for my purposes. Originally I intended to place the clamp on top of my desk where the first base would be placed, but the dimensions of…

Solid execution. in the mountains

I have a so-called architect's lamp. These are lamps with swivel joints and strong tension springs that hold the lamps in place. You have seen them. I lost the desk clip that came with my lamp. It was plastic and didn't have a large enough "gap" to grip the thick table top. Also, as a plastic, I knew from previous experience that it would break easily under a lot of pressure. At around $10 I found this clip expensive but I went ahead and ordered one. I'm glad I did. At first I was pleasantly…
