I was a little worried about the sound but the gap on the sides seems to work very well. Installation was easy for me since my house has an outlet in the attic. I just cut a hole and made it in 10 minutes. I'm going to buy another one for my living room and try to use Power Over Ethernet (PoE) since I have these jacks in the wall in every room. I am very impressed with this mount.

I've been looking for something like this for a long time. This thing is perfect. I built a house recently and the builder ran the audio control wires and they ran the speaker wires to the living room and to the local speakers so I used a built in wall speaker amp and used the wires that went and went to the home run place. 5V through them to the echo point. With this bracket it looks very clean!

I've been waiting for Revain's built-in option from the start. That's it. I can install intercom and everything else Alexa does in any room for $60 including Dot. Right where we can see them and they don't move or get in the way. Check out my video of what I installed in the basement. It requires a bit of cabling planning, but it's worth it. Makes the Alexa Dot Reg an integral part of your home. I installed it on the ceiling of the theater area. The ceiling is light gray. Not wanting to bring white into the room I painted it matt black, the photo shows the result. It's now in the middle of the theater auditorium, and people who see it love how neatly it looks mounted to the ceiling. If you do an A:B comparison, you'll hear that it REALLY eats up clarity and loudness. What this ceiling mount does (so far) is hold the dot hockey puck tight enough that kids hopping over it probably aren't manipulating it enough for the dot to fall out. This is a good mount. Easy to install and comes with everything you need to install. The components also appear to be of good quality. The template is very useful and there is enough burr on the mount to hide any small mistakes you make cutting the hole. I used a drywall saw, but I think when I install more I'll use a 3-5/8 inch hole saw. The only feedback I have is that I installed mine in the ceiling. My particular room couldn't easily place the Echo Dot where I wanted it, so I decided to mount it on the ceiling. This product worked absolutely perfectly. Firstly I only give it 2 stars because it exists but it has many problems for such a simple product. The product proudly claims to be an "award winning design" although I have no idea who won that award. It's designed to fit the Gen 2 Dot with friction, it doesn't hang loose and falls out easily when mounted to the ceiling, Strike 1.
