They are supplied with spirit levels but the fasteners are not straight, you may have to check the position of each in relation to the first to align them. I also bought a 2 pack along with a 5 pack and found that the 2 pack was slightly larger than the 5 pack so pouches from the 2 pack were placed at the ends. I bought a floating shelf from IKEA which I installed first, which gave me a flat surface to work on and another point to level the shelves.

Shelves look really nice once they're set up. You can see I keep all my Blu-rays on the shelf and there is plenty of space. You have to be careful because if you don't put it all the way up, the Blu-Ray will fall out from the bottom. I like the shelf, I just think the bracket needs to be a little shorter so you can place the Blu-ray evenly on the shelf. I can't imagine that if I tried to put CDs in, they would just fall out of the back.

You need moderate effort to screw these things to the wall. Way more than any other shelf I've installed. But when pulled up, they look good and are durable. I do not recommend these shelves to anyone. There is a list of things that went wrong with the design of the shelves.1. The bars attached to the wall and shelf were often uneven and did not match the holes. I had to bend the bars where they needed to be.2.
