The level is set and the device sags under the weight of the device (in my case the Samsung cable box). The double sided tape used on each leg to support the shelf is substandard at best. I stuffed a small cardboard between the ceiling (I use it as a riser for my kitchen TV box) and the unit to ensure the best fit for the tape on the support legs. All in all a bad buy: look for something else for DVD players etc.

Don't believe them when they say it will last. It will not! It says it will hold the cable box. HUH. It won't even be a little. I put a box on it and the shelf isn't wide enough or doesn't protrude far enough from the wall to support it. I was able to balance it but you can't get it close enough to the wall because the cables coming out the back of the box keep it off the wall making it sit unsteadily on the shelf and I expected it to fall off or break . Shelf.

Don't waste your time or money. Firstly I have no idea who wrote the other reviews (and I have my doubts) but the shelf is too small for a regular direct od dish box. The connector on the back does not allow the box to fully stand on the shelf. The shelf is of poor quality and sags a lot under the low weight of the box. It was installed correctly and all equipment was included on the shelf. But you get what you soooo pay for. I repeat, don't waste your time and money. This is real shit.

I rarely write critical reviews but thought it fair to warn people before buying: Pros: looks like it. functions. Worked for my DVD player. Cons: Installation was terrible. I felt better after reading the reviews that it wasn't me. I have 3 big holes in my wall now I need to figure out how to close them. I pre-drilled holes for the plastic screw holders. They didn't enter. And when they finally got in, they didn't hold the screw, and from the pressure of installing it, the plastic pieces fell…

I ordered this after I thought I had read enough reviews. Thought it would be easy to install. It didn't seem difficult at all. Well, it still wouldn't be difficult. What should have taken maybe 30 minutes took 3 days. I pre-drilled holes in the wall for the included mollies. I then used the screws that came with it. I was like, hey, why are these screws so big? But I continued drilling them into Mollies. The screws were too big! I ended up screwing in the mollies, they fell behind the drywall…

It holds my blu ray player and small cable box but the handles that support it should run the full length of the glass. I found the shelf tilted down. I had to put two wedges under the front of my blue ray to keep it looking even. My TV is mounted above a gas fireplace with this shelf 6 inches below. It was very easy to install. nothing else that looks better, i'm keeping it.
