After two rides I had a terrible rock chip on the ball of my foot where the spike attaches to the sole of my boot. There is no rubber between the spike and the inside of the boot where your foot is. Just a very thin layer of "cushion". You can feel the spike through the boot with your finger and obviously when walking. The rock chip came from riding as I covered a total of 30 feet between rides with these things on. I returned them.

These things are impressive. Solid looking shoes, thick quality laces, nice velcro closure. The ankle protection in each shoe is great and the overall style and quality of the shoe and sole is amazing. Seems to be average or below average in difficulty, so that's good. An added bonus is the overall style of the shoe which also makes it comfortable when you're not cycling compared to other shoes that don't look very "cool". I would recommend
