I use this mount on a single engine airplane. I previously had a Ram mount designed for the iPad Mini 3. One thing I didn't like was having to take the iPad out of its case to put it in the holder. When I bought a new iPad Mini 4 it didn't fit in my old mount so I needed a new mount. With this mount I can leave it in a suitcase.
