Excellent goods. on Cables & Interconnects

I use MPD-400 (LMR400) coax for all my radios - jumpers, antenna traces, HF, VHF, UHF - whatever. I have yet to come across a situation where the performance was unacceptable and the mounting and connectors were always on top. Yes, it's not cheap, but if you're going to buy a good radio and antenna and try to make good contact, why run a junk wire between them?

Pros
  • Ultra Low Loss: This low-loss transmission line can be used in virtually any application where performance is required and where improved shielding and low losses are required.
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Ideal for external amateur radio antenna.

This cable is on the south side of the house, so in the sun all day. I needed something lossless and very durable to install a dipole antenna and do the setup in my basement office. This cable worked perfectly. It's very well made, the ends of the PL259 were flush, it seemed like good material and everything really worked when I first turned on the radio. A bit pricey but worth every penny! Many Thanks.

Pros
  • Connector Type: PL-259 UHF Coax Connector - Connects antennas, receivers, scanners, meters and radio transmitters. This coaxial cable is an ideal replacement for other comparable LL-400 super flexible cables where installation, flexibility and impermeability are important.
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for older people

Works great with the valley house antenna

I purchased this LMR-400 cable to connect a rooftop antenna to a digital scanner or ham radio in my metal roof house in the valley. Not having an amateur radio license I was only able to check incoming signals and I can hear transmissions from neighboring countries with crystal clarity. I am completely satisfied with my purchase (apart from the high cost of the wire).

Pros
  • Accessories and supplies
Cons
  • Obsolete model

Great for outdoor amateur antennas

This cable is on the south side of the house so it gets the sun all day. I needed something lossless and very powerful enough to install a dipole antenna and run the setup in my basement office. This cable worked perfectly. It's very well made, the ends of the PL259 were flush, it seemed like good stuff, and everything really worked when I first turned on the radio. A bit pricey but worth every penny! Many Thanks.

Pros
  • F pin coax tip
Cons
  • Expensive

Without a doubt the best product on the market!

Absolutely superb products. Superb quality that will last as long as you do. There the customer service is amazing; You will not be disappointed with this product or company. The cable is as flexible as they describe, but not for very tight angles, but with a level of quality and shielding that shouldn't surprise anyone. If the angle is that tight, you should probably find a better place to mount it, whatever cable you use. I also love the fact that it's made in the USA and is up to the level…

Pros
  • Audio & Video Accessories
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
