They are buttery soft! It's literally like painting with colored oil. They glide easily over paper! If you like gel pens, you can't go wrong with these. Colors can also be mixed wonderfully. On the cloud I tried to smear the paint, but the truth had to work hard. You'd think the color would smear on the paper, but it holds up beautifully. I LOVE these gel pens!

I bought these for my grandson who has mild cerebral palsy. This affects his fine and gross motor skills. Painting and drawing are not his favorite pastimes and he has had to draw since he was in kindergarten. This allowed him to bring rich colors to his site without much frustration. He's used to having to work very hard with ordinary colored pencils and not getting the results he hopes for. It was a game changer for him, I even had to tell him not to press so hard because they are quite soft.
