Finally found a solution! I got an 18ft Mr. Longarm and a squeegee specifically for cleaning windows in tight spaces without a ladder, but found that the squeegees could not be screwed onto the pole. This adapter fits the rack perfectly and the scraper snaps snugly and stays in place. Ideal!

I have many threaded rods for paint nozzles and such. For some reason many tools like squeegees and scrapers use a conical connection. This is a utility tool. I've bought several over the years and the main problem is that I lose them on a regular basis. If you have a slippery tool that doesn't seem to be getting strong, wrap it in duct tape to make it strong.

Cheap crap that doesn't work. Most of the time I was climbing up and down stairs to get the mop head off the floor because this "adapter" doesn't hold the mop head for more than a few wipes with the mop. Luckily I was not hit in the head and nothing was damaged as the mop head fell off my head (on the stairs) and onto the floor several times.
