The washer is stuck in the vent hole. I had to use an o-ring removal tool to get it out. Nothing holds the washing machine in place. Used for a 5 lb tank fueled soda carbonator. I bought a smaller regulator from Mr. Brew that doesn't show tank pressure. It leaked quite heavily and I emptied the bottle when I forgot to close the valve. After a year, this smaller regulator blew the seal on the side of the tank and became unusable. This is the second controller I have bought. The first will not emit any CO2 from it. Ironically, not my second either. Two non-workers in a row? Bought to replace the leaky regulator that came with the Komos Kegerator. The first one was delivered over the weekend, a day later than promised. Plugged in but no gas. I ordered a replacement, plugged it in, but again no gas. I decided to read the reviews and saw many complaints about the check valve. I followed a reviewer's instructions to remove the small plastic gasket directly from the inside of the check valve and it worked fine. It's disappointing to receive a product that doesn't work.
