For the most part this playground is good. I had no trouble building it until I tried to build a round perch. The screw hole was cut too wide and the screw went all the way in and made the perch wobble. My husband had the idea of using a washing machine and it worked great! Another issue I had was that the tray looked like someone had taken a nail or pencil and stuck a knife in it. The material the tray is made of is very thin and cheap. Looks terrible, but still works. While I think this is for smaller birds like budgies, I also think it's the right size for a small playground. I bought this so my bird would have his own special place to spend time with me on the other side of the house from where his cage is. It fits perfectly on the printer! Also, like many people in the reviews, I wish the base protruded more to collect feces, but as you can see in the photos, this is easily fixed by placing a paper towel under the base. I got it for cockatiel, he started plucking after losing my parrot so I'm trying to keep him busy on these perches. While there's a lot to do here, there are two things I really don't like about the design. Firstly I want the tray underneath to be wider than the play area itself. This may be normal for parrots but definitely NOT for cockatiels or other large birds. The 3 main dowels on this base are too big for my cockatiel, but the overall size of the base itself is too small for her. I recommend this size is perfect for budgies - the swing (my parrot won't even fit on it) and the bridge are perfect for parrots, but as I mentioned the 3 main perches are MUCH big for parrots (see pics).
