Great motherboard for 3400G.

I have been building computers for almost 20 years. If you're looking for a board that's comparable to 2400G or 3400G, this is a great option. The 3400G does not require you to update the BIOS. You only need to update the BIOS if you are using a 3600 or higher. The 3400 is still based on Zen 1.5. The reason I like to compare this to the 3400G is because of the many video outputs. You can run 3 screens on this thing. Great workstation or media computer. The board works fine with the 3600 and…

Save money on computer parts

I don't like that I can't install a sound card, but these things are dated by today's standards, so that's my only gripe. Welcome to 2020. This thing hasn't let me down and bios updates are so there. Put some swag in your system and some extra cash in your wallet. I could upgrade to 12 cores 24 SMT if I wanted to. I have OLY memory so I get a lot of reloads. AMD really relies on good memory chips, so make sure you don't skimp on it. Lots of SATA and M.2 for my setup. I use it on my music…

Perfect for my needs.

The motherboard is perfect for my needs. It has sufficient connections and a very good performance for the price. The only downside is that it only has two RAM slots, although I knew that before buying it. I originally intended to buy the B450M PRO-VDH Max, but Revain sold out (and still is). I couldn't wait that long so I went with him. Granted, I'll probably never need more than the 16GB of RAM I have now since I'm not a gamer, but the option would still be nice. But other than that I'm very…

Great paired with a Ryzen 7 2700x and Rx 580

On the positive side was how easy the mobo was to set up, it's already compatible with my 16GB DDR4 RAM and doesn't need a BIOS update for it my cpu, leds are good to troubleshoot if you have any, the only problem i can think of is that the layout is not impressive if you have a big graphics card like mine. The thickness of the card covers both PCIe 1x slots, so in this situation you'll need to buy an extension that fits under your card. It looks black in the picture, but the motherboard is…

Pros
  • Solid build
Cons
  • So far so good

The box says "Ready for Ryzen 3000 Series" so it will work with any 3000 series APU or the latest Zen 2-based processor without any special components. A solid motherboard with a pretty good BIOS for basic tasks and settings. The board is very small, smaller than a standard mATX board, yet it fits into very small cases. It's got limited dual-slot RAM slots, but that's okay because you'll just stick in 16GB or 32GB and you'll stop there. If you need more, you wouldn't look at the B450 board at…

Decided to build a desktop instead of buying one. It worked great.

later After checking out what the big stores are selling for around $500 for desktops, I figured I could probably go back to my roots and build something more powerful and flexible for less money. I was right. I've searched the web and found a page that basically lists components for sale on Revain for PC builds of varying budgets. I think it was their $400 build. I deviated by using the onboard SDD card slot versus a separate SDD drive and had a 3TB drive that I used but otherwise used this…

BIOS firmware may be required.

As someone who has been building computers for 20 years, I've learned that you always check the compatibility chart to make sure the CPU and memory you buy will work with your motherboard, because that's what you'll find on the Store page may not be correct. Now that the processor is third on the list, I'm fine, right? Not as much. What MSI didn't have in their chart is that you need to update the BIOS before this processor will work. And since this board doesn't have a flash button like some…

Worked great for a budget system I built

Pros: - Decent price, around $75 at time of purchase - Good build quality. I had no problems with this when assembling a PC. - Built-in storage profiles. I can't speak to every possible memory type, but I paired it with an inexpensive kit of the Patriot Viper 4 Series Extreme Performance DDR4 16GB (2 x 8GB) 3200MHz (PC4-25600) and I didn't have to do anything special or custom create settings. I selected the first of the built-in advanced profiles and rebooted the system; The next time I went…

This is an excellent motherboard for a budget Ryzen 3000 build

In my opinion an excellent budget motherboard, at least for my needs. This was my very first build and I wanted to build an inexpensive computer that would support VR and be upgradeable in the future and at around $70 the price was about right. I gathered all my parts and started installing everything, all went well and smoothly. It has an m.2 slot, so I'll get an m.2 memory card later for the operating system and a few other programs. At the moment I'm using a hard drive that was borrowed from
