The hole for the pin was not drilled in the center.

Yes, this seems to be an issue with many MTC connectors. The hole was drilled off-center. I returned this and bought the original BMW hinge for 50.00. Too many of these MTC connections are not established correctly.

aufbala-192 M3 M3 1941-1993 in the middle, which is a manufacturing defect, so the pin hole doesn't match the switch stem hole. Cannot be installed out of the box. Seems to be an issue with shifter joints made on 11/2019 as I had 2 joints and both had the same issue. Something you don't want to discover lying on your back trying to install such a simple part.
