Simple solution to my problem

Simple solution to my problem. I wish I could give it 5 stars but the o-ring I got was the wrong size so I had to go to my local auto parts store and get the right one. Overall satisfied with this product

Works with modification.

O-ring was not thick enough to seal. Had to use rtv to get it working. The powder coating was chipped/bubbled throughout, revealing a rusty metal panel. So far, it works as a cheap and quick fix.

Fits Toyota and Volvo

Lock Plate works great. I have a Toyota 86 RV pickup. Overdrive didn't work from Florida to Ohio. This works very well now. I look forward to getting better than 10mpg again.

Expect to change it or you're in a massive trance leak.

Amateur fit and finish, had to be modified with a belt sander to allow the o-ring to protrude far enough to seal. After 2 days of fiddling, it's working perfectly. It's essentially a piece of steel that has been spray painted, which is definitely why this is the cheapest option you can find on the market.

Preparatory work may be required before use

- A thicker o-ring must be purchased to ensure a good seal. - Due to the paint quality, the contact side had to be renewed. (I completely removed the paint with solvent and sanded the contact side on a flat surface. Also, I didn't want the gear oil to dissolve the paint.) - After following the steps above, the bypass was installed and did the job. no leaks.
