I would recommend the NEO G ITB harness

I've had it for about two months and rode about 3 10km a week. This is already in the last phase. I would recommend the NEO G ITB Band. The thing is an absolute soldier and very similar in price.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Easily repairable

perfect for knee pads

Due to chronic knee problems I need support with certain activities and this fits perfectly. My only complaint (and hence not a 5 star rating) is that it is designed with the rubber being what the leather is all about. Vice soft polyester material. and since i have hairy legs, the rubber pulls hard on my hair.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Only available in black

Offers support but gets lost

I had problems with the IT band and got it before one of my races. It offers good support but after a few races it feels like it has stretched so I can't tighten it enough. Also, a couple of times during races it got so wobbly that it started sliding down my leg so not only was it useless in terms of support but also became really annoying.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Can't remember

No tricks. It instantly cured my ITB issues.

No trick. It instantly cured my ITB issues. I'm an amputee who recently started walking (after surgery so I'm able to walk for the first time in decades). When I first started running, my "good leg" actually gave me problems. This group solved my problems immediately. After a few months of use, I no longer had to wear this harness while running.

I bought it poorly after having severe knee pain while training for a marathon. The strap has a good fit and is easy to attach. The bad one is a bit thick which makes my skin sweat a lot. I'm not entirely sure if it helped relieve the pain or if it was a placebo effect. But I think there was some relief. Mueller is a great brand so I think it's well designed. He survived hundreds of kilometers.

It just didn't work for me

I'm a long distance runner and bought this when I had ITBS. It didn't work for me but I really needed to take a few days off and give myself a good sports massage (I did) and it helped me get back running in no time. Although it might work before you actually hurt yourself - if you're already injured, trust your body, get help and bounce back for a few days. ITBS can last a long time if you don't train your leg properly, and a quick fix can do more harm than good.

Excellent Solution for Group IT Syndrome

After many marathons and half marathons, the repeated pavement hitting and cross training at the 21 mile marathon mark in 2013 began to take a toll on me. With radial discomfort beyond my left knee, I was soon unable to walk without excruciating pain. I finished the race thinking I had injured my knee when in fact I sprained my iliotibial (or iliotibial) brace. For those who don't know, the tibioliotibialis muscle is the broad tendon or "fascia" responsible for raising and lowering the leg. It…
