After all, it was then that the first folding knife with such an original name was invented. By the way, Opinel is the name of the founder of the company. And even now these knives proudly wear it. Therefore, having such a knife, you can touch the family heirlooms from France. How Opinel differs from analogues Opinel produces a lot of interesting products, such as cutlery and garden tools. But of course knives are especially popular. The whole secret of Opinel lies in their design and the use of special materials. This became the rule of the manufacturer, which is unshakable to this day. For example, the fact that only natural wood is used in knives for the handle. For this, especially expensive breeds are selected, such as boxwood or bubing. For the blade, the manufacturer chose two materials - Sandvik 12C27 stainless steel and high carbon steel. In the first case, a special mark “inox” can be seen on the blade, and in the second - “carbone”. The steel is high strength and can last almost forever. As for the blade shape of Opinel knives, it depends primarily on the purpose. Knives with a wide range of applications usually have a fairly wide blade with a pointed tip.

I'm amazed! It was definitely worth the money!

Its advantages include the following: the knife is uncomplicated in design, which accounts for its low cost; in addition, it exudes allure and is of superior quality. Work does not frighten him in any way. It is clear that a finger was not used in the production of this item in any way. Having these drawbacks: The lock works well enough, but because it draws in all the grime from the pocket, it quickly becomes clogged up with debris. However, if you look after the knife properly, there…

The best purchase in my life, I will definitely buy it again.

This is not my first Opinel knife, I love this brand, cool classic locks with a special lock that I have not seen anywhere else, maybe they patented the technology. In general, this knife is ideal for mushrooms, only with it in the forest. Lightweight, comfortable, cuts perfectly, everything you need for a mushroom picker

The product is usable, I expected a bit more.

A straightforward knife that folds up. He was honed to a razor's edge until he put it to use. After I had opened a few pistachios, I noticed that the blade had nicks in it, and they are quite easily discernible with the naked eye.

Pros
  • Condensed, uncomplicated, and pointed.
Cons
  • Very soft steel blade.

I am using 12 carbon Opinel (stainless steel didn't cut it). Although the knife is of high quality, its bulky design makes it inconvenient to transport. This miniature was bought as a result. The experience of buying and holding the item has been satisfying. Opinel was a pleasant surprise.

Pros
  • Size and quality comparable to an opal
Cons
  • No.
