🚪 Munchkin Decorative Bronze Metal Baby Gate Extension, MKSA0658-011, 2.75 inches Review

The plastic hinge was broken when I received it. After reading more reviews this seemed to be a common problem and I decided not to order again.

Whilst these gates are beautiful they are very poorly designed. The lower swivel is made of plastic and breaks easily. After returning this one I tried to buy another one which also broke at the same moment within a few days. Since my wife liked the look of the gate, I replaced the hinge with something I made myself.

Gate purchased to fit between my closet and kitchen to keep my dog off my newly renovated hardwood floors. The gate harmonises with the furnishings and can be easily opened with one hand. I like that the gates open in both directions. I credit the Munchkin for saving my hardwood floors. The dog is not very happy about it, but it is very bad.

Just received. Apparently it was a return. The ties are already severed, parts broken and others scratched. Bad quality control. I'm waiting for a replacement. Just got a replacement. All parts are present and look like new. What's going on here. Remove this junk

We have had one of these gates before, they were great, love their ease of use and the look in our home. We wanted another one and ordered from here and it came with a plastic clasp on a hinge. We claimed it was broken and got a replacement, THE REPLACEMENT IS BROKEN IN THE SAME PLACE! Will no longer order this item from Amazon.

Other reviewers call it junk because it doesn't close properly as they show pictures when it's installed incorrectly or not installed at all. I also thought it was broken until I installed it properly. It closes really well - it's spring-loaded to stay in place, so of course if it's installed incorrectly it looks like it's broken - it's not. Watch the installation video. This gate is SO superior to our old gate in every way.
