We have been using these packs since our daughter was born almost a year ago. We keep a regular diaper pail in her room (uses a regular trash bag) and they do a good job of blocking wet diaper smells. We use them in the nursery and on the go, but the scent has an expiry date. We bought two packs and by the time we got to the second pack the usual fresh smell you get when you open the pack was gone.
