Used these to mount a Dewalt headlight and Dewalt fan on trucks I work with. I was afraid the magnet would be too strong to move them easily, but a simple side pull will do the trick. Solves many lighting issues and ability to blow dust/smoke/fumes out of the work area. If you can't see and have asthma, these all-in-one solutions help a lot. I would recommend the same setup to anyone working in the industry.

I agree with the previous reviewer that this isn't a single solid magnet, but rather a set of smaller (seems like six smaller magnets, about 10mm or smaller) of some sort. which was covered with rubber. I've had trouble with this as well, as it literally chooses what it's going to latch on to and stay there depending on its orientation. I had a partial grip (about 2/3 the area of the magnet) on contact with the metal plate and it rotated with the camera I had mounted on it (GoPro 4 session)…

These magnets were purchased to attach a 1/4" GoPro base to the shoulder straps of backpacks by placing steel washers underneath. When they arrived, I put them in place. Magnets on my fridge and the connection was very strong. I was confident it would protect my gear. However, when I tried using pucks much later, there was no attraction at all. That got me so surprised my first thought was that the washers weren't steel but the other magnets on my fridge worked fine, as the rubber on the sides…
