Myerchin Knife Marlin A009 Sheath Review

It's kind of become part of my everyday clothes. Not in some stupid tactically cool way. But in the style of "it's on my belt every day". I work with rope a lot and it has so many uses. sorry no sailor just a guy who connects many people and things.

This Marlin Spine is very good! Very heavy in hand, very smooth. This will untie even the tightest knots. I bought this to take Bob with me and thought it would work for paracord, but it's larger than I expected so it will work for a larger rope as well. The sheath it came with is surprisingly good, it's not cheap vinyl it's really good leather and includes a stitched hole to tie a layyard to a nautical tip. I am very happy!

This is one of my favorite tools, I use it a lot and love it. However, the cover quickly went in the trash. Just approaching the sea immediately rusted the rivets in it, causing everything in my dirty bag to turn orange and it took me Scotch Brite and elbow grease to remove the resulting blemish from the beautiful stainless marlin spike. I've been watching the larger marlin spikes for some time. My main cleat I use is from Camillus, folding knife combination: Camillus carbonitride titanium folding knife with G10 handle and Marlin cleat, 6.5".
