Don't waste your money on this junk. The water temp was 72 and I turned it all the way. The power indicator was on for 5 minutes and then turned off. Increased the temperature of the water by up to 0.02 degrees. i go to the garbage

Not very accurate - fish and aquatic animals

I used this heater for a while then it stopped heating. It's also difficult to get the heat right with a heater. Nice concept with the body, but the heater isn't the best. The seller returned the money to me with no problems.

Pros
  • Few competitors

Be careful! on Fish & Aquatic Pets

This Damn Thing Can Cook Your Fish! The temperature setting must be turned off by the internal mechanism. It heats up much hotter than the temperature selection. My fish were in STRESS, they had a real relationship with me afterwards.

Dangerous Product Best in Aquarium Heaters & Coolers

Used for a month, up and down, never could hold 79-82. The dial to set the temperature is not accurate, so be prepared to nervously check the water temperature every day! I haven't touched it for a couple of days because it has been oddly keeping the temp at a high of 82.4 but this morning I heard a series of pops from the tank and found it exploded as it was in my tank was submerged! Luckily my hands weren't in it and my fish is fine, but be careful if you care about your life!

Didn't work properly

returned. Installed correctly. The installation is self-explanatory. The tempo is inaccurate. More importantly, it will reach the set temperature and then turn off. If the temperature dropped below the set value, it would not turn on. By the time you notice it, the day/night temperature drops a few degrees. The power indicator is also hidden inside the case. So you have to dip your hand in the water and pull it out to see if the heater is on. I recommend spending a few bucks more and getting a…

Too hard to tell what's going on

I tried this heater because it's a different brand that kept breaking me. I have a 5 gallon aquarium and it slides in the back where the filter is. There are no temperature markings on it, just a knob that rotates. Basically you can tell by the red light which unfortunately is on the side and which of course is on the back of my tank where you can't see it when it's on or off! There's a knob on the top that you turn to set the temperature, but that's all just coincidence as there aren't any…
