Description of 🐟 Efficient NACX Aquarium Fish/Shrimp Mesh Net Filter Guard- Stainless Steel Cover for 12mm/16mm ID Fish Tank Intake Strainer Pre-Filter

Avoid inhaling small fish and shrimp into the filter. Prevents the inhalation of large amounts of debris which can block filtration system. The small mesh makes it possible to replace the inlet filter of the outer or waterfall filter. Metal filter tubes are ideal for aquarium fish tanks, facilitating gas exchange and increasing dissolved oxygen levels. Suitable for tropical fish farms, koi ponds, wastewater systems, cooling towers or other commercial industrial systems.

Good material, loose fit

Good quality screen but sloppy for 15mm blocks. I would like it to be about 3x longer for a high flow setup, but 1 works fine until fully clogged (2x on day one). This is for an outdoor pond, so more for protection from dirt and critters.

Pros
  • Prevents inhaling large amounts of debris that can block the filtration system.
Cons
  • Contact the seller

Works for me! in aquarium pumps and filters

I no longer fish shrimp out of the external filter! I didn't know they existed until I accidentally stumbled upon them. I just run the toothbrush over the surface to reopen the holes and I'm done. The downside is that large particles don't get into the canister, but I'd rather do the extra work in an aquarium than with fish or dozens of juveniles. from the layers of the environment.

Pros
  • Metal filter tubes are ideal for aquarium fish because they facilitate gas exchange and increase dissolved oxygen levels.
Cons
  • Slightly torn

One was dented: Fish & Aquatic Pets

They are well made but one of the two screens arrived with a large dent. I pulled it out again, but there are creases on the opposite sides. So I can't rotate it so the damage isn't visible from the front of the aquarium. I probably should have returned them but the tank was ready for water and I didn't want to wait. So if you're a perfectionist, you might want to make sure supplies have enough time to send back and timely replacements when they're needed.

Pros
  • Suitable for tropical fish farms, carp ponds, sewage systems, cooling towers or other commercial industrial systems.
Cons
  • Almost never

Have your fish and snails cleaned!

Cutting the plastic spacer at the top makes it easier to insert the filter intake tube (quickly learn not to cover the very end of the intake tube). On the first day we cleared the tube of dirt several times. However, on the second day we found out that the fish and snails do the cleaning for us! Now I just stir the water around the substrate every few days. Small particles rise into the water, are caught by the filter fabric and cleaned by the pool residents. Works perfectly! In the meantime…

Pros
  • Keeps small fish and shrimp away from the filter.
Cons
  • Some bugs
