I tried several different toe clippers for my 86 year old mother. She is confined to a wheelchair and cannot get a pedicure. She has a fungus on one foot that causes her toenails to grow very thick. I bought these nail clippers for one of my parents who needed a set to trim his thick and long nails. No other set he bought opened wide enough to use. The clipper handles are wide enough to hold. Definitely a quality product and does what it says on the tin. A big disadvantage is that you have to be very careful when cutting that only the nail is between the jaws. Definitely not for diabetics or people with poor eyesight as these clippers can remove a lot of material including the tips of toes.

I am a retired Otolaryngologist (ENT). I have very thick skin on my legs. Part inherited, part from a magical childhood spent barefoot in the woods, on the shore, fumbling with boats in the bay.
