Nakabayashi Manual Shredder Folded Capacity Review

I really liked this paper shredder. It met all the requirements and worked perfectly, even if it was awkward to manoeuvre. BUT it broke after a few weeks. The gears lost a lot of teeth - I don't think I've ever overloaded them. Usually put 3 layers of paper at a time. I emailed the manufacturer over a month ago to see if I could order replacement parts but no response.

I rarely write reviews but I have seen that this product has only received 2 ratings and no product comments. I didn't hesitate to try it because it has everything I need; It's manual control and confetti cutting. It's super compact, about the size of a teapot, for home office, shredding bills and the like. All instructions are written in the manufacturer's local language, but the pictures are quite clear.

Advantages: easy to use, children can not turn it on accidentally and drop things, not afraid of overheating, cross sections. Doesn't take up much space. Got it for shredder exams so it does exactly what I need it to do. Cons: very heavy. I'm not sure why they don't just tweak the design to fix it. If you don't hold it with your other hand, it will fall and you will likely run out of leverage. You need two hands. Small, for letter size paper you need to fold it in half. I never write reviews of anything but I really love this thing. I didn't want to buy an electronic chopper because I hate noise so this was perfect. I don't grind tons of stuff either. All assembly instructions were in Japanese, but they are very easy to assemble and very intuitive. You literally just put on the handle and top and you're done. This works GREAT, but you can only destroy 1 piece of paper at a time (very important). I tried tearing the folded paper and it didn't work very well so…
