Good chain, good price

Looks like a quality product - time will tell. Excellent price. I use it for cyclocross racing and the narrow wide chain really keeps the chain in place even on the roughest of surfaces and the sloppiest of rides.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Didn't work with my Shimano CLARIS 8 speed and FSA crankset

I have a Shimano CLARIS groupset with an FSA 8X2 crankset - the 110 BCD bolt holes were well aligned but shifting was dreadful. It didn't work, I order an FSA 8 Speed with the same number of teeth (46) and after a small adjustment of the limit screw, the gearshift was fine.

Pros
  • handy
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Great 1x conversion

Fits perfectly as a 1x conversion on my 2x Claris crankset. Looks great, works quietly and well. Very good. As others have said: This is a narrow wide chain designed for 1x applications. The switch will not work. Also note that you will need single length bolts if you are fitting this to a 2x crank.

Very good value narrow/wide chainring

Excellent narrow/wide chainring for converting to 1x chainguide. Same high quality for 1/3 the price of a Raceface/Sram/Wooftooth. Very thick where it bolts to the crank - this allows the original chainring bolts to be reused without a spacer/washer. Very impressive - hope the alloy's hardness holds up. For the person who left the one star review, this chainring is not designed for use with a front derailleur.

Pros
  • Easy to use

  • No

Great quality for the price

I fitted this to an FSA compact crank to convert my 9 speed Tiagra Surly Crosscheck to 1x9. The 38t has yet to drop the chain, even when trying to do so by reckless shifting. Happy end. However, I just installed it last night for a quick test drive. Keep in mind that this is fairly thick aluminum. Depending on the thickness of the spider, you may need bolts for a double crank size chainring. I bought 1x bolt and for the time being reinstalled my 2x bolts and ordered new double crank bolts.

Pros
  • delivery was very quick
Cons
  • contact seller

My bike's drive train is better than new

I have a 1x9 setup on my flat road bike that I built a few years ago but only really got on this season. Although the drivetrain components don't have that many miles (<700 miles), some of the parts I used weren't of the highest quality, and over the summer they became increasingly sloppy with a clicking noise when pedaling under power. Slipping shifts and more chain drops than ever before. I replaced the chain earlier in the season and recently the unnamed bottom bracket with a better…
