Great for HVAC, good for tape

Great deal on a 50 yard roll. I used up most of the reel installing the UVC air sanitizer. Most went for wrapping wires, covering the flexible duct penetrating sleeve and wiring to protect it from UV damage. Spiral wires and a test light passed through the fan housing to check impact zones; Galvanized air duct, partially closed to ensure reflectivity.

Pros
  • GOLS Certified
Cons
  • weak

Worked well for inserting aluminum ducts!

This tape is very easy to use and has excellent adhesion. I've used it to attach both rigid and flexible aluminum vent ducts in the attic to ventilate a bathroom fan. It comes off the roll easily and sticks very well to the tube. I worked in tight spaces where there was no room to move. The fact that the tape was so easy to work with made the job a lot easier.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Useful and easy to use

I bought this tape to seal my portable air conditioner hoses and vents. It works amazingly well and is very easy to use. I just peeled the brown backing off the tape and taped it to the parts that hold the tubing to the block and window seam. This tape has been in place for about 3 months due to extreme heat and rain. I haven't had any issues with peeling or loss of tape adhesion. I am very happy.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Girls Best Friend in Duct Tape

I have used this duct tape on a variety of jobs, once I've stopped an under sink leak it sticks to wet or dry surfaces, won't come loose or dry, brittle grey Duct tape, great job creating a watertight and pull-tight seal, especially around my air conditioner. It holds up and doesn't stretch wherever I use it, and it can also be painted over by masking off a window in a drafty house. It's great and I highly recommend it.

Pros
  • Multiple Competitors
Cons

I have used this tape to seal the seams/edges of fiberglass insulation board (kraft paper side). Initially, the tape adhered well to the insulating kraft paper and to the wooden frame. But after 2 weeks, the tape started peeling off in many places, causing air leakage. I suspect that over time more and more of it will come loose. So I don't recommend it if you want it to stick to paper or wood.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Hard to say

Perfect for portable air conditioner vents

The portable air conditioner has two vents and does not stay inside. I tried regular duct tape and of course it didn't work. A vent naturally gets very hot, so finding the right strap was important to me. I'm not familiar with tapes in general, so this took some time. Some reviews of other good brands said they had a toxic smell but this one didn't. For me it's like magic. Once you apply the tape it stays in place so well it will never come off.

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • Nothing Here

Pretty good aluminum tape

Bought this to blow my very expensive 4 inch roll of 3M hot/cold weather aluminum tape and couldn't find it anymore so for less important uses i tried this. It seems to work well, a little lighter but still strong enough to stay in place and "stick" to the areas it's applied to. Can't speak to the heat and water resistance of the glue yet, time will tell, but for $8-9 for a (significant) roll it seems pretty good.

Pros
  • Moisture, mildew, UV and mildew resistant construction
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Used to fix air leaks on the air conditioner/oven unit.

Works great, the paper backing is easy to cut and peel and easy to work with (but like aluminum foil, just be careful not to put too much pressure on the crease , otherwise it will tear or split easily, press it and don't use nail, otherwise it will break). Worked great and even used it to cover up all the very sharp metal edges on the AC oven/oven after they installed it. Used it to completely cover a rusty vent that let hot/cold air into the basement. This is good and makes heating/coolingโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Hand peelable backing for easy application
Cons
  • So far so good

Excellent quality, roll easily tears by hand. Adheres very strongly to surfaces and to itself; The roll has a layer of non-stick paper to make it easier to remove the tape (otherwise this would probably be impossible as even accidental contact with another tape of foil would be very difficult to remove - but it's a good indication of how long that tape is bond holds). A NOTICE. Foil tape has a very different use than most other types of tape. Duct tape is not designed to hold things togetherโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Works well in all weather conditions
Cons
  • No instructions
