Great stop! for office furniture and lighting

Lots of new and trendy types of stop and you just want to keep the door from slamming when the wind blows in your house? It will. And when you're done with that, you can just push it back because it's intuitive: you're looking for the source of the stop where the door stops, not in the loop where everything new, expensive, and trendy stops. they seem to be leaving. I've tried a few of these and have come back to them with enthusiasm.

A decent doorstop AND chewing gum for dogs!

Works as it should. Several doors in our house were incorrectly hung when the house was built and are holding them open. However, I have a new puppy and apparently these rubber doorstops are irresistible to teething dogs. She doesn't swallow the pieces, just bites them off and spits them out. What used to be a 6 inch wedge is now about 3 inches long. lol Yes I know. We give her lots of safe gum and toys, but she still goes to the door stops.

Pros
  • Flexible rubber for excellent grip
Cons
  • I'm silent

Put to the test. . . and passed!

This item was purchased for a large door that has a heavy duty automatic closer fitted. The door opens inward, leaving a 2 inch gap between the door and the tile floor. First we tried "Wedge-It", an updated design of the stop that costs twice as much as this version from National Hardware. The combination of a heavy door, a large gap, and a tiled floor was too big for Wedge-It. However, the National Hardware Super Wedge is big enough for the gap and has enough flex for the rubber to be securely

best I have found in office furniture and lighting

I just wish it ended up being thinner because the gap under my carpeted door isn't that big and I somehow tucked it away under door. But when he gets there, he stays there well. Also, this wedge is huge. 6 cm tall is a lot. If you need something more then you have a huge gap under your door. The rubber gasket keeps it in place perfectly. UPDATE 11/21/12: This is the best wedge I've ever had. I found it so I increased my rating to 5 stars. I've tried others and then came back to this. I also…

Good, but not strong enough

I use it to brace a heavy office door that has an automatic locking system that closes and locks the door as soon as you let go. The National Hardware wedge is long and strong enough to hold this type of door open, but lacks the rigidity to really get the job done. Generally you want to kick it in the door so it wedges into the hole below, but this particular doorstop isn't strong enough to be used that way - it bends and curves instead of sliding further under the door. Because of this, in the

WE LOVE THIS LITTLE HELPER!

I ordered these to hold the door between the living room and ocean view patio on the 15th floor (much higher actually due to the 5 story mall, on where the Marriott Towers are located). on) the floor of our unit in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. We never use air conditioning. My partner had doubts before the doorstop came and said the gap between the door and the patio floor was so wide. We've stuffed magazines and newspapers over the past few years to keep it open, which did the job but was unsightly…
