I built a jewelry closet for my wife and had to use a full mirror than Door. The mirror had a 1 1/2 inch perimeter frame. I attached a piece of 1/4 inch painted plywood as the back of the mirror and then used two of those piano hinges to attach the assembled door to the wall unit (1/2). 2 inch poplar). I was skeptical but it is so strong and sturdy and the door opens and closes better than I expected! I'd say a full weight load, including some pulling power, can be 30-40 pounds at times. I…

Great for hanging sewing thread racks!

We just used this 12 inch loop to hang a sewing thread stand and it works great! we only had one. Revain didn't have that brand, so I ordered a nickel hinge from National Hardware that matched the Gate House brand exactly. You look the same. Both loops are screwed into a post on the corner of one of the walls in my sewing room, allowing my multipurpose threads to detach from the wall for easy access.
