Failed test Bearing

After a few hundred miles a bearing on the axle also failed. I'm not sure if this was caused by a defect or foreign material.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Available in white only

Buy with caution with hub assemblies

I was skeptical about ordering this but I really had nothing to lose if it came from China/fake. The name suggests this is a National (Federal Mogul) brand, but the bearing is of federal Chinese manufacture. It might match OEM specs, but it doesn't look like it. Flimzi spread with barley, ekhayurkk. Go to a dealership or local auto shop, spend a few extra dollars and buy yourself a genuine national brand made in the USA.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Not all will fit

These bearings are as easy to install as they come. Replace the outer seal and bearing at the end of the axle tube. I used a three-jaw puller on a side hammer and wham bamm bamm. Done βœ…. Take the block, align it flush with the end of the pipe, use a gasket screwdriver and hit it hard. Bamm, bamm, bamm - listen as he changes pitch to become solid and complete. I installed this on the back end of a FORD 8.8 in a GT Mustang and took it to Willow Springs (Big Streets), Azusa Canyon and Angels Crest

Pros
  • Rugged Construction
Cons
  • Legacy Model

Fine. - Bearing

I bought it because I ate a new original bearing in a month. Straight through the race. The axle was also shortened a bit. I had a spare axle lying around that was the right size. I put that in because it says it works on a different part of the axle and is for worn axles. I decided that the new axle and this bearing should be ready. I sometimes smell gear oil on this side but never see a leak. There is a spring boot on the back to keep the oil out of the bearing and there is a gasket on the…
