Non-toxic and works great!

I have used Eco-Solve thinner for a number of years and have found it to be an excellent replacement for solvent based thinner. I am sensitive to VOCs and have no problem with toxic fumes when using the Eco Solver in my studio.

Pros
  • Quick Change
Cons
  • Not sure

Seriously, this thing stinks!

Eco friendly but this is the worst brush cleaning product I have ever had. It's very oily and smells awful. I had to wash the brushes twice with Masters (which I love, wish they had a liquid version) and then put them in boiling water to get rid of the smell. If you are sensitive to smell, don't buy it. I'm sorry Eco Solve.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • poorly thought out

Not my favorite for Paint

Great if you are sensitive to the smell of turpentine. I used it in my art class because we are in a closed basement with no windows and I didn't want to be rude and expose others to the turpentine smell. So it's great for that, but it just has a "stickiness" that creates an uneven flow of paint. Paint slips and sticks and is harder to control.

Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Great for my work!

Tried it for the first time today and just what I was looking for. Perfectly dilutes the paint and does not cause a headache. I paint in thin layers and this ensures excellent consistency and quick drying time. Yes, there is an odor - for me the odor is not very strong, but I would say "specific". I can understand how sensitive some people can be to this smell. I am extremely sensitive to liquin and turpentine (even the unscented version) to the point where I quickly become nauseous. But this…

Pros
  • Art, drawing and artist supplies
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly

Great brush cleaner for oil painters

Damn this is the best brush cleaner I've ever used, far superior to any turpentine based product. Just rinse the brush a few times, dry it with a paper towel and it's clean. Low rate of evaporation and removal of color from other surfaces and fabrics. Be careful, he's strong. I wouldn't use it for glazing like some suggest because it removes layers of paint including primer. And be sure to use it on plastic. I tried wiping the paint splatters off the lid of my laptop and that removed the paint…
