My tortoise liked it at first.

He's such a picky eater that I'm concerned if he's getting enough food in his little body. This is a 15 year old Asian Box Turtle (we think) and is only 5-6 inches long. Reptiles are so different from the mammals that most of us care about. Some reptiles only eat once a month, some need longer, they eat when and what they want, when they feel like it. This bottle will definitely last a long time. It appears to be a healthy nutrient and smells way better than most products on the market. As long

My turtle ignores them but might work for others

Turtle refuses to touch them but that may be his own preference so I can't say they're definitely good or bad. They appear to be made from a gel similar to that used to make cricket water crystals. As they dry (which happens after about 2 days in the shade) they shrink to a very small size, but they can be placed in water and they will disappear. almost normal again. The cubes are very small and bright orange, so it can be difficult for some animals to recognize them as food if they have eaten…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • New competitors have arrived

We were told that this would provide him with much needed nutrition that he would not be getting from the leafy greens we were feeding him. The only problem was that after we realized he was done eating the greens were gone leaving a small pile of rainbow grape nuts at the bottom of the bowl. While part of me was very impressed with his ability to separate those small bites…

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Available in white only
