When we got our turtle the clerk at the pet store recommended these crunchy colorful things that look like grape seeds. . We were told that this would provide him with much needed nutrition that he would not be getting from the leafy greens we were feeding him. The only problem was that after we realized he was done eating the greens were gone leaving a small pile of rainbow grape nuts at the bottom of the bowl. While part of me was very impressed with his ability to separate those small bites from food, another part knew I must now find another way to balance his diet. flavored bits were recommended. This one was the perfect pair. Our turtle loves them. They almost have a pretty good melon smell. Good enough that my daughter decided to try it. Apparently not recommended. But that's why they're not for her. You are for the turtle and he is a fan.
