This is a good product for warming up plates before eating. However, allow a good hour before eating to keep your plates warm. I've noticed that my heating pad got up to 150 degrees, it never got to the advertised 160 degrees. It is also not easy to house the heating element in a washable case. I like the product and 150 degrees is enough for your plates.

Works as described, looks good, is used regularly. I used to use a preheated oven to preheat the plates and they were too hot to safely handle. I then tried filling the sink with hot water and soaking them and then putting them on a dish rack or drying them with a towel. Everything is finicky and time consuming just trying to put food on plates so it doesn't get cold. Although it seemed like too expensive to pay for a simple device, I now understand how quick and easy it is to use.
