🎧 NAXA Electronics NPB-429 Portable MP3/CD Player with FM Radio and PLL Technology Review

I wanted a portable MP3 CD with a USB connection. USB was the feature I wanted the most. I was impressed with how good the reception was. We live where reception isn't great and I had no problem finding a transmitter that I can't find on other receivers. USB also allows me to store almost all of my music on a single USB drive, and they're easier to store than CDs.

I needed a system for my carpentry shop. I built a small case for the stereo to keep it dust free, but the speakers had to be separate to go outside the case. This device was small and compact with detachable speakers and worked perfectly. The volume was more than enough for a noisy store, and the best feature was the ability to store all your music on a flash drive and play it from the device.

We bought this for our girls for Christmas. I bought everything early because I was pregnant and due in December. Of course, when it was opened and we found it was rubbish and not a single CD played, not even a brand new CD, it was too late to return it. A complete waste of hard earned money and totally broken girls hearts. Talk about disappointment. We have 8 kids so this was their "big" Christmas present. Epic failure. So thank you for that 👎👎👎👎👎

Well made for the price and clean sound but lacks volume and especially bass. Bass Boost - No Bass Boost as described on the Revine website. I already have a cheaper Naxa 256 with EQ modes pre-installed which will certainly improve the sound quality, this unit could benefit from this feature. FM radio quality is good, USB plays well. Extremely annoying that the remote control has no volume control. The USB stick only played a few hundred songs and then repeated the list in order each time. I reduced the number of songs to 1000 and that helped, but now I don't have all my songs. If you disable this feature, it will start with the same song and play in the same order. You'll have to pause songs and keep the device on 24 hours a day if you don't want to hear the same playlist every time you turn it on. I only use this for MP3s

It has no extra jack, headphone jack or extra speakers. The audio output power is 2.5 watts per channel, so it is not noisy (when working). The sound is ok, the bass is not enough to let the music sound good. What do you expect in this price range? Answer = weak, you are right. When you play a CD loudly, the laser jumps due to vibration.
