These shoes are great and work as intended

These shoes are great and work as intended. Be careful not to overtighten as this will force the compression spring out. Otherwise they are solid and hold the flash as intended.

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Frequency

Works perfect! - Shoe mounts

Worked great for mounting my flashes on my light stands. Uses These Stands: Set of two 7ft 6in StudioPRO Photo Studio Stands with Photo Studio Carry Case. Highly recommended for an inexpensive and easy way to mount a flash to a tripod.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Don't really like it, everything is fine

Exactly what I ordered. However, the file is required.

Exactly what I ordered. However, a screwdriver or coin is required to fully tighten the side adjustments. Instead, I finger-tighten them, relying on increasing tension on the bottom plate of the cold shoe adapter.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Exchange possible

Good quality but best suited for small flashes of light

Well made and suitable for small flashes but the fit is not too narrow to provide a solid base for a large flash. Even tight, I'd feel ill trusting a multi-hundred dollar unit with this.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • dull packaging

I use them on a tripod or light stand.

I use it on a tripod or Pocket Wizard hot shoe mount in an external flash. You can screw the PW hot shoe mount directly, but when installing/dismounting, it is easier to remove the PW mount, flash and pocket wizard for safe storage instead of unscrewing them. These cold shoe brackets can be left on and are inexpensive compared to replacing a worn PW bracket.

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • A few small things

> WORKS on shoe mounts

UPDATE > I found something better: DSLRKIT Quick Hot Shoe Tripod Adapter with 1/4"-20 Tripod Screw (2-pack)]. MY EXPERIENCE > I needed a way to securely hold the flash on the mount and also able to snap almost any photo for better modeling. The hot shoe didn't work because my flash was too heavy, the flash held on the "Neewer Cold Shoe Flash Stand Adapter" was an improvement but No matter how tight I tightened the screw, the flash would "fall out" from time to time.DSLRKIT Quick Hot Shoe…

Suitable for my Nikon flashes

Fast delivery. Suitable for my Nikon SB 910 and SB 400. Can be mounted on a tripod. My only criticism of this gadget is that I can't use flash locks. So I need to make sure the flashes are secure before mounting them on a tripod. Otherwise, the flash may shift from point a to point b when manually moving the tripod. It came in a pair just in case you lose one. Excellent price. Highly recommended.
