Fantastic lens support and quality!

Fantastic support for my Sigma 100-400 telephoto lens! I liked the value of this lens but was disappointed that it didn't have a tripod collar. So I ordered this Neewer lens mount and it's the perfect solution! Really well built. Everything that matters is made of aluminum and beautifully milled. There are several ways to adjust this mount. Very happy with this purchase!

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • Good but not great

Sturdy and accurate - camera and photo

What I like: The unit is very strong (and heavy), very well made, all parts fit together very snugly, move smoothly and allow for very accurate alignment of the camera position. Small spirit levels everywhere. The layers are poorly protected, but the hot glue gun solves this problem very quickly. If the support bar could be a little lower it would help with my 200mm lens but I've found ways around this.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Something different

When you need stability for a large lens

This item is very well made but once installed it is a bit confusing. It's assembled in a way that doesn't actually work, but that's why you're given Allen keys to take it apart and then put it back together in the configuration that best suits your needs. Once that's done, it's great for larger lenses that don't have a tripod mount. The mount is very versatile and you can install it in a variety of ways. The biggest benefit is that you can balance the camera/lens with full assistance on a…

Excellent tele support

This is an amazing device. There are three Arca style clips, a camera mounting plate and a lens base plate with casters. There are also four bubble levels to reserve belts and suspenders. Everything is firmly fixed and the price is very low. For those saying that the front mount is not set low enough to support the lens when mounted on a camera, take a 2.5mm allen wrench and turn the front clamp over so that the long side down. After that, the support works fine with my EOS R camera and a 400mm

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Not as thick as other models

Ideally suited for large body cams or cameras with batteries.

I bought this to use with a Sony A6400 Sigma camera with a 100-400mm lens. Unfortunately, the lowest height of the lens mounting end was still significantly higher than the maximum height of the camera mounting end, making it unusable. (See image.) Looking at the original product listing photos, and even those of other reviewers, it seems like it's really only intended for larger camera bodies or those with battery grips for leveling lens height. and the camera body on this mount. I was hoping…

Excellent build quality but not a universal fit

I want to love this instrument. As with recent Neewer products, the build quality is superb - I have complete confidence in it with my camera gear. However, the standard mount for the front lens is too high for my rather small (Canon 700D) camera body. If I added another quick release plate under the camera (or even a battery grip) it would reach enough height, but I really didn't want to buy another part of the kit just to be able to use this tool. Here's a tip for everyone. If the same…

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Can't remember but there was something

: I was dying to use this lens mount, but since it didn't come out of the box for my camera/lens I decided to find a workaround. Since I needed to mount the camera a bit higher for it to work, I came up with this: MOSHUSO Quick Release Plate Adapter Mount with Built-in Arca Style 1/4" Screw Base Plate for Tripod, Camera, Video Monitor, Gimbal, Magic Arm, Ballhead It added the required height and seems secure enough but am disappointed that I had to add an extra piece to make this hardware work.

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • There are other interesting options. UPDATE

Incredible lens support! Intelligently designed!

*updated 6/7/20. See comments at the end. I bought this lens mount because I have a 420-800mm lens without a tripod mount. Although the lens is quite light, it is still too heavy to use without additional support, especially when using the 2x converter and photographing the moon. Trying to focus the lens and get the moon in the frame proved particularly difficult. I haven't had the chance to shoot with a lens-carrying rig, but I can already say that the construction of this rig is solid. . It…
