Great product best hand tools

We lost the timing chain guide on our e39 540 so it was time to replace the guides and timing chain. If you bought a torque multiplier, there are junk blocks that won't give you the actual torque ratio. I've been watching this for a while and had to take the plunge and I'm glad I did. Torque on the crank bolt is between 1000 and 1200 lb-ft when using a BMW approved crank holding tool and this multiplier. the wind pulls out the bolt. Tightening the bolt only requires about 85 lb-ft of torque onโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Damaged

Perfect fit for Porsche Center Lock wheel nuts!

I bought this multiplier for pulling and tightening the wheels of a central locking Porsche RS Spyder. Many people on the Porsche forums complain that central locking wheels are difficult to remove and turn and use a 4 foot torque wrench which PITA can use. With this multiplier, you can use a regular torque wrench and enter approximately 1/3 of the final desired torque value (see the instructions included with the tool for exact multiplier values including friction loss). Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Don't really dislike it, all good

The relationship is wrong. Best in Hand Tools

This review does not reflect the quality of the product. Appears to be well built. The suitcase is good too. The problem is that the product label and description do not match the key. I send the first one back and the second one builds the same way. The description shows a ratio of 3.3:1. The key labeling indicates a ratio of 3:1 (see pictures). The actual ratio is 3.5:1. The only reason to use a torque multiplier is to get the right torque. If the product is not made correctly and the userโ€ฆ

Advertised Odds WRONG - FIRST POST 3 YEARS AGO!

I bought 3/4 inch = 1 inch outside. Execution. As another reviewer pointed out THREE YEARS AGO, the advertised 3:1 ratio is WRONG. The actual ratio is 3.5:1. If you accidentally use a lower gear ratio in an accurate torque application, you are overtightening the fastener. Why is the wrong ratio STILL printed on the instrument? Anyway, I bought this to mount the huge nut that holds the piston to the rod in a 35 ton hydraulic cylinder. The nut should be torqued to 800 ft-lbs. - It's a lot, notโ€ฆ

It just works Simple and easy!

Who needs an expensive cordless percussion gun when you can buy this tool instead. It increases torque by 3.5:1 and does not require expensive batteries to operate. ratchet on one end and a 3/4-inch drive with a 6-point socket on the other end and proceed to tighten over 400 ft-lbs of bolts with just over 115 ft-lbs of torque per 1/2- Inch ratchet to loosen drive. That's called intelligent work with a planetary gear. If you are using a planetary gear, remember that the torque multiplier rodโ€ฆ
