Scissor blades must be extended once fully open to cut as the first teeth lock against each other . It's awkward when cutting and trying to make sure you don't open all the way to cut. It's hard for your hand to move the blades apart. Would not recommend buying.

These paring scissors meet all requirements. They are very well made, very sharp, easy to use and work great. I'm so happy I got them.
