Excellent product for linear drains

Really like this subdrain. Sturdy, durable, and very close tolerances to the 2" stainless drain port I used this for. Highly recommend this product. Used this for a master bathroom shower install in conjunction with a linear drain. Works flawlessly.

  • Installed it easily and works great so far.

  • The product looked like good quality, plumber decided that it was not what he wanted to install.

Won’t fit over pipe.

The hub at the discharge side of the lower flange will not fit a piece of 2 inch PVC pipe. It’s off by .015”.Luckily I have a self centering four jaw chuck for my lathe and can correct it, but how many people have that capability and how many people want to waste time doing that?Also the threaded adapters supplied both with the drain and with the flange will not thread into the flange. Luckily for my configuration I do not need them. Had I needed them there would’ve been no easy way to fix…

Good Quality: my feedback

I have always used Oatey brand and decided go give this a try and let me say it's just as good if not better. Very well made I would buy again.

Has weep holes, designed for traditional shower pan construction

This hub has weep holes, which do make it into the inner drain because the inner diameter of the upper part is larger than the ID of the lower part. The presence of the weep holes means this drain is designed to be used with a rubber membrane between 2 layers of mud, and not for use with liquid topical membrane (unless using the divot method).Works well with the Neodrain linear drains.

  • The installation process may be more difficult for inexperienced DIYers, potentially leading to mistakes that cause damage and require professional help

Shorter than most. in my review

The height is shorter than most others for easier install. I don’t understand the easy clean or removal feature above. Once it’s in, you aren’t getting it out.

Must have for linearbdrain

Works good. Installed to receive a new linear shower. I did not use the gasket and used the adjustable threaded adopter.

Good solid drain base.

This drain base was the perfect match for the 24 inch linear drain. Connected perfectly to the 2" schedule 40 pvc drain line. Held the waterproof membrane without issue.

  • The rubber gasket may not fit snugly enough, resulting in leaks and water damage
