I'm a machinist! There were many other brands to choose from and the fact that it is abused in production every day is a real challenge! My previous one was 6 inches and had its limitations! So adding 2 inches is really handy! It was very accurate, easy to use, very smooth, numbers easy to read and looks professional! For the price I couldn't have asked for anything better! The reason I think is the pressure on the battery. When I move it it doesn't work at all, it only reads 0.0 when reading, but as soon as I press the battery it starts jumping all over the place again.
