With you in the garage!

Since there is such a thing as a Crazy Cat Lady, I proclaim myself the Crazy Router Dude. Hidden away in my garage are more than a few boxes containing nothing but wireless routers of almost every make, size, shape, and possible functionality. After filling out most of these fields, I selected Netgear as my preferred brand. I have several of their models lying around, for what purpose I don't know. Unfortunately, this router is about to join the boxed-up brigade, and not for good reason. I…

Pros
  • The NETGEAR genie app makes installation and home management easier
Cons
  • Incredible piggy bank

After 9 months I am not satisfied with this router. There was an old N300 Netgear that worked fine with 5 devices connected; But as the family grew, so did the number of devices. Yes, part of my problem is the 17M ISP download speed, but it will be updated soon. I hate dropouts and weak signal the most, even though our 2,000 square ft., two story, truss. At a height

Pros
  • Backward compatible with 802.11 a/b/g/n devices
Cons
  • Only available in black

I'm divided on this review. On the one hand, the router was easy to set up, easy to set up (netgear genie app comes in handy) and easily supports our wireless devices (a few smartphones, a few tablets, PC, Playstation, etc.). is working! And it's just one thing. This would only work for about two days at a time. Then, sometime in the early hours of the morning, when we're asleep, it loses the 5GHz signal. That alone would be annoying if the 2.4GHz signal wasn't also available. It's just…

  • Speed
