Slowly, I can't.

I checked to see if this would work on Windows 10 but the description didn't say anything about it so I checked reviews and questions where there were mixed results. I thought I was fine, my computer is very good, but no. The install page was sluggish when I put the disc in and it took me ages to get anything done. It even took a few minutes to run the setup wizard. When he finally finished installing and asked me to plug in the USB stick, he said he would recognize it. I let it sit for over an

I've bought three of these in the last year and they all work very well but have range and speed limitations. but it's a fair compromise for its price. I use them on desktops so I don't have to run Cat 5 cables in every room of the house. They are very easy to set up and updated drivers are available on the Netgear website. My Cisco router is in the middle of the house so they have no trouble connecting to it and run at top speed. This is a great alternative to installing wireless cards or aโ€ฆ

Good thing in a small package

This is a great SMALL device. Finally got a new computer and moved the old one to another room. Plugged this little guy in and he instantly hooked up. The path to the router is essentially a location line. Sometimes there is some upholstered furniture and a door in between; but it doesn't seem to matter. I give it 4 out of 5 stars to match the rated performance. Because most of the time the computer shows 4 out of 5 reception clocks. It doesn't matter whether the path is completely free orโ€ฆ

Netgear N300 Mini USB Wireless Desktop Adapter for Windows XP SP3

I bought this device with the expectation that I could use it to securely connect to a wireless access point. I installed this device on a Dell Pentium 4 desktop computer running Windows XP SP3. I was able to install the software and it connected to the hot spot. After some testing I found that it loses internet connection but says it is connected to the router. In my case, the router was a Verizon Mi-Fi hotspot. Sometimes this indicated that the adapter was removed from the USB port (it didn't

Pros

Pretty solid wireless USB adapter. It works quite well, although there were occasional crashes that the other product didn't have. It's better than most junk though. Software: In any case, nothing is outstanding here. It worked and it's easy enough for a beginner to get comfortable with installing. Form Factor: Smaller than others, so for those looking for something that doesn't get in the way, this is a good choice. This of course sacrifices some antenna area (see below for reliability). Generally ok but slow.

My Netgear access point is set to work in N300 mode. I also have a WD external network drive. It is connected to the router/access point via an Ethernet cable. My problem is that it takes a very long time to transfer files from my laptop (with integrated 802.11b+g). The connection is set to 54 Mbps, but the net throughput was only around 15 Mbps, which is adequate in a noisy environment. So I decided to buy this adapter which gives me extra bandwidth. Installed - nice and easy - 300Mbpsโ€ฆ
